Lewis Casey Bradshaw made his journey to the Spirit World on June 01, 2026 in Rapid City, SD. Casey was born March 9, 1968 to Lewis C. Bradshaw II and Elizabeth F. Garnier-Little.
Lewis (Casey) lived a life full of adventure. He played football and wrestled in high school. He made it to the South Dakota state wrestling tournament and had broke high school records in his time. He was recruited and played college football for Dakota State University but his college football career was short lived after blowing out his knee.
He did many things that caught his eye after that. From driving trucks across the United States, going from North Dakota to Oklahoma working on combining crews, and working as a horse trail guide in the Black Hills.
Casey was a very spiritual man and for a time being, he helped take care of Our Lady of the Sioux Church and learned many things from his spiritual brother, Br. Rene.
Later on, he ended up attending Chadron State College to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and years later moved to Denver, CO to attend Westwood Technology College to receive his Associates Degree Automotive Technology. After working in Denver, CO for a couple years, he moved home to Oelrichs, SD and became the Automotive teacher at Pine Ridge High School. He wanted to teach his passion to the upcoming youth and passed his knowledge on to the students that came & went through his classroom doors. During his time as a teacher at Pine Ridge, he helped coach the football & wrestling teams. He made many lasting memories not only with his co-teacher but also his students & athletes. Then later on, he retired and spent his remaining years taking care of his family. He will be greatly missed.
