A one-night wake service starts Tues, March 8, at 1:00 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Kyle

Lewis Lance Top Bear was born on February 2, 1987 in Pine Ridge, SD to John Top Bear and Carmen Apple.  Lewis made his journey to the Spirit World on February 27, 2022 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Lewis is survived by his mother, Carmen Apple; siblings, Trisha Apple, Monique Top Bear, Kathrine Two Bulls, Joylynn Rowland, Joanna Rowland, and Sheena Rowland; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Gregg; uncles, Terry (Lynette) Little Whiteman, Darrell (Stephanie) Apple, Mark Apple, Todd Gregg, Vern Top Bear, and Manuel Fool Head; and aunts, Mary Little Whiteman, Stephanie Brewer, Rochelle Top Bear, and Gretchen Top Bear.

Lewis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maynard Top Bear, Isabelle Wounded Head, Orville Apple, and Louis & Betty Little Whiteman; uncles, Leonard Ferguson, Louis, Harold & William Top Bear; aunt, Karen Top Bear; and cousins, Ray Fool Head and Heaven Top Bear.

Pallbearers will be Triston Apple, Carson O’Rourke, Cory Ferguson, Lane Poor Bear, Lewis Harris, Ivan Reddest, Jr., Jason Old Horse, and Sonny Old Horse.
