A Celebration of Life for 69-year old Malvin “Vino” Sherlock of Crawford, NE, will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Alliance, NE.
The family will gather for a reception afterward at Michael’s home in Crawford.

Malvin Charles Sherlock was born on August 22, 1952, to Michael and Vera Sherlock in Alliance and passed away on April 3, 2022, at his home.
After graduating from Alliance High School, Malvin went on to serve in the Armed Forces. Following his service, Malvin began his career at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in Alliance and worked there until his retirement.
Malvin met and married Susan Rask in 1981, going on to have 2 children: Samantha and Tanner, and becoming stepfather to Michael Garcia.
Malvin was an avid rockhound and enjoyed going on adventures with his family to hunt rocks. He also enjoyed many outdoor activities like camping and fishing. Many weekends were spent enjoying the outdoors with his family. He was also a big fan of Louie L’amour and enjoyed reading his novels.
Malvin was predeceased by his wife Susan and his father Michael Sherlock.
He is survived by his stepson Michael (Beth) Garcia of Alliance and their children: Caleb, Camden, and Maycee, his daughter Samantha Clark of Crawford and her children: Hayly, Taylyn, Acacia, and Tianna, his son Tanner (Courtney) Sherlock of Chadron and their son on the way, his mother Vera Sherlock of Alliance, his brothers Michael Sherlock, Patrick Sherlock, Tom Sherlock, Dale Sherlock, and Mark Sherlock, his sisters Linda Davis and Kate Sherlock, and many nieces and nephews.
