kfab.iheart.com– The Nebraska State Patrol says it has arrested a 32-year-old driver after a multi-county high-speed chase in Nebraska’s panhandle. NSP says troopers pursued the vehicle, which had earlier been reported stolen, as it was traveling on Highway 92 at speeds over 110 mph, and say it was weaving in and out of the wrong lane of traffic during the chase. Troopers eventually used stop sticks to slow the car, which came through Bridgeport, in Morrill County, and eventually crashed into a parked vehicle and several mailboxes.
The NSP says Jeremie Steen was then taken into custody. Steen faces several charges, including theft by unlawful taking in an amount over $5,000, flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, no operatorโs license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
