Funeral services for 32-year old Mario Swan will be Saturday, July 3rd at 10:00 am at the Woyotan Lutheran Church in Rapid City, SD.
A wake service will start at 7:00 pm on Friday evening at the Woyotan Lutheran Church.
Burial will be at the St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Manderson, SD.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of the arrangements for Mario Swan.
Mario Terrell Swan was born on September 1, 1988 in Rapid City, SD to Michael and Tina (Tucker) Swan.
Mario, father, loving son, brother, and uncle, made his journey to the Spirit World on June 24, 2021 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. When Mario came into our lives he became the second edition to our family. From birth on he was a happy child with a big heart throughout his life. Mario was always goofy and had the ability to make you laugh. He was known as our family’s comedian. His laugh and smile were so contagious to everyone around him. He was known for his quick wit, humor, infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Mario loved his family. He also loved playing and watching sports, and had a compassion for cooking. He loved to chef up for his loved ones.
Mario is survived by his parents, Michael and Tina Swan; children, Ciara, Jaida, Michael, Dahlia, Jordan, and Gabriella; siblings, Alicia Swan, Chauncey Swan, and Kelly (Isaac) Swails; and nephews & nieces, Ethan, Cadence, Emma, Evan, and Finley.
Mario was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Orlando, Sr. & Faith (Fleury) Swan; and maternal grandparents, Kenneth Tucker and Iva Jumping Eagle.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Swails, Trevor Brown, Orlando “Oats” Swan III, Raymond John Winters, Joe Cuny, Damon Long, Zane Swan, TJ Fitzgerald, and Eli Swanson. Honorary pallbearers will be Billie Jo Martinez & family, Colleen Swan & family, Orlando Swan, Jr. & family,
