Funeral services for 54-year old Mark Red Eagle are Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 at the Rockyford School Gym in Rockford with Joyce Tibbitts officiating.
Cremation will follow the services with burial at a later date.
A one-night wake service starts Friday at noon, also at the Pine Ridge Elementary School Gym

Mark Julius Red Eagle was born on February 7, 1969 in Los Angeles, CA to Lloyd Oliver Red Eagle and Patricia Ann (Fast Horse) Cross. Mark made his journey to the Spirit World on July 19, 2023 at his home in Gordon, NE.
He attended Our Lady of Lourdes School in Porcupine, SD where he played basketball and received the Most Valuable Player award. He joined track and became a cross country runner.
Mark served in the United States Army Reserve from 1990-1997.
He was an avid reader of Sioux History and culture. He was able to answer any questions we had about it. He participated in Inipi (sweat lodge) ceremonies.
Mark was also interested in astrology, but besides his belief in traditional ways, he also had a belief in Christianity.
Mark was a humble and very generous man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mark is survived by his mother Patricia Ann (Fast Horse) Cross; siblings Robert Red Eagle, Linda Red Eagle (Jay Marshall), and Linette (Lenny) Clifford; and granddaughter Christina Lone Elk.
Mark was preceded in death by special friend Edna Wilson; his father Lloyd Red Eagle; grandparents Oliver Red Eagle, Margaret Bush-Red Eagle, Joseph and Annie (Broken Rope) Fast Horse; and aunts/uncles Joe Fast Horse Jr, Geraldine Fast Horse, Arlene Valandra, Violet Fast Horse, Talbert Fast Horse, Dale Red Eagle and Malcolm Red Eagle.
Pallbearers will be Correy Clifford Jr, Chris Clifford, Meadeau Clifford, Richard (Paco) Lone Elk, Justin Red Eagle, Isaac Lays Bad, and Robert Red Eagle Jr.
