Graveside services for 73-year old Mary Lou Running Horse are Thurs, Dec 30, 2021 at 3:30 at the Catches Family Cemetery in Calico Community of Pine Ridge, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Michael Catches Enemy and Jeffrey Catches Enemy
Viewing precedes the services from 1:00-3:00 at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge.
Mary Lou Running Horse was born on October 23, 1948 in Rosebud, SD to Arthur Running Horse and Lucille Shout At. Mary Lou made her journey to the Spirit World on December 26, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Mary Lou is survived by her hunka mother, Marne Marie White Wolf; siblings, Marion Running Horse, Wayne Running Horse, Bernice Catches, Arvella Catches, Emily Catches, Edlyne Catches, Joe Running Horse, Sr., and Winniefred Running Horse-Plumman.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her adopted mother-grandmother, Rose Catches; father, Arthur Running Horse; brother, Everett Catches; sisters, Caroline Catches-Tobacco, Adeline Catches-Janis, Aveline Catches-Hunter, Velma Running Horse-Little Eagle; and brothers, Ruben Running Horse, Melvin Running Horse, Jim Catches.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marne White Wolf & Family, Running Horse Families, Sylvia Tobacco & Family, Dorothi Tobacco & Family, Nola Tobacco & Family, Ann Tobacco & Family, Mary Tobacco & Family, Stephan Tobacco & Family, Joe Catches & Family, Bernice Catches & Family, Judy Catches & Family, Cindy Catches & Family, Caroline Hunter & Family, and All Friends & Relatives.
