Mary Dorothea Two Lance “Wawokinya Win” was born on June 8, 1992 in Pine Ridge, SD to Vincent Two Lance and Louella (Broken Nose) Two Lance. Mary made her journey to the Spirit World on December 26, 2022 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Mary attended grade school at Loneman and graduated 8th grade in 2006, then attended high school at Anadarko, OK, before finishing off her high school years at Pine Ridge High School, graduating in the class of 2010.
While working numerous jobs, Mary graduated from the Artesia Training Academy in Artesia, NM, and became a dispatcher for the Oglala Sioux Tribe.
She also worked for the CHR Program, was a Coordinator at OST Continuum, Day Labor, Oglala Service Center, and Prairie Wind Casino.
Mary was known by her family and friends as “Beav”, “Miss Mare”, “Proud Mary”, “Mary Poppins”, and best of all, “Mary Mouse”.
Mary is survived by her sons Leighton Brewer and Houston Goings; mother Louella Two Lance; brothers and sisters Isaac Two Lance, Hoksila Broken Nose, Norma (Reuben Sr) Two Lance, Mesean (Dewey Jr) Two Lance, Dallas (Lillian) Two Lance, Bobbi Jo Tobacco all of Oglala, SD, Vanessa Two Lance of Arlington, TX, Brandon (Marcia) Briseno, Joseph (Melanie) Briseno, Evva Briseno, Joan His Law, Whitney He Crow, David He Crow, Filmore (Candida) He Crow, Julie He Crow, Hattie (Jamie) He Crow, April He Crow, and Wilbur and Edwin Flute; hunka parents Terry Spoon Hunter and Jeanette Eagle Hawk; hunka sister Taylor Spoon Hunter; nieces Autumn Briseno, Emlee Two Lance, and Dotti Brave Heart; nephews Xavier, Uriah, and Wocekiya Two Lance, Reuben and Roman Looks Twice, Maruqes and Baby Dallas Two Lance, Kassion Two Lance, Vincent “Vinny” Brave Heart, Pamela, Cecil & Christian Tobacco, Raymond Rouillard, Eric, Jayden, Sioux Renee and Kamimila Two Lance, Tracy, Sheldon, and Casey He Crow; aunts Jenny Briseno, Sara Paddock, Beverly Two Lance, Norma Two Lance, and Jewel Pretty Weasel; uncles Terry Two Lance, Lyndon Brown, Rayford Featherman, and Mac Hinton; grandfathers Nason Backs and Richard Broken Nose; and numerous grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her father Vincent “Chop” Two Lance; grandparents Ole and Dorothy Broken Nose, and Ernest and Mary Two Lance; uncle Leroy Broken Nose; aunts Norma LaSarge, Diane He Crow, Angie Two Lance, and Violet Two Lance; brothers Robert He Crow and Red; and sisters Pamela and Winola He Crow.
Pallbearers will be Xavier Two Lance, Reuben Looks Twice Jr, Brandon Briseno Jr, Michael Briseno, Marques Two Lance, Mercedes Lopez, Emily Lopez, Bessie Brewer, Kayla Ten Fingers, and Dylan Fills The Pipe.
