Funeral services for 64-year old Mary Weasel Bear are Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2:00 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD, with Father Peter Klink, SJ, officiating and traditional Lakota services by Quincey Red Feather & John Red Feather Sr
Burial is in the Pine Creek Cemetery in the #4 Community of Pine Ridge, SD
A two-night wake service will be held with past and present runners invited to join a relay run Wed, March 20, at noon from the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge to the Weasel Bear residence in #4 Community, where the first night wake starts at 1:00.
The second night begins Thurs at 2:00 at Brother Rene Hall in Oglala. Evening services are at 7:00 each night.

Mary Eloise Weasel Bear “Paha Sapa Ohomni Inyanka Win” was born on Sept 1, 1959 to Cleveland and Katherine (Waters) Weasel Bear. Mary made her journey to the spirit world on March 10, 2024 at Pine Ridge IHS.
Mary is the Descendent to Alice Horn Cloud and John White Wolf. Alice was a survivor of the Wounded Knee Massacre and part of the Big Foot Band.
Mary is survived by her Children Sandra (Jeremy) Red Feather-Two Crow and Samantha (Brandon) Red Feather; Grandchildren Keya Dubray, Brandon Bad Heart Bull Jr, and Kimimila Two Crow; Sisters Caroline Two Bulls and Karen Weasel Bear; Brothers Cleveland Weasel Bear Jr, and Benjamin Weasel Bear; Mary’s other siblings Donna, Anthony “Tony”, Katherine “Kathy”, Stephanie, Marty, Raymond ”Fish”, Thomas, & John John Waters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her paternal Grandparents William Weasel Bear and Jennie Little Soldier-Weasel Bear; her Parents Cleveland and Katherine Waters-Weasel Bear; Siblings Florita Weasel Bear-White Calf, Lois Weasel Bear, Darlene Weasel Bear, Charlene Weasel Bear, Cartia Weasel Bear, Yvonne Weasel Bear, Trivian Weasel Bear-Bad Wound, Merle Weasel Bear, Baby girl and Baby Weasel Bear; Nephews Moses Two Bulls, Keith Two Bulls, Manuel White Calf, and Johnny Red Feather Jr; Nieces, Vanessa Weasel Bear and Frances “LuLu” White Calf; and Grandbabies; Unborn Baby one and Baby two Bad Heart Bull.
