Meidell Sits 1st In Saddle Broncs After Day One Of State Rodeo

Leif Meidell of Harrison sits in first place after the first go-round of saddle bronc riding at the Nebraska State High School Rodeo in Hastings.

Meidell drew a score of 72 during Friday evenings ride and was one of just two to score at all.

Crawford’s Jasmine Dyer is 8th in the breakaway roping after she recorded a time of 3.82 seconds in her first go-round.

Harrison’s Jaycee Lambert sits in 11th in barrel racing and she’s 12th in breakaway roping. Lambert is 13th in the standings in goat tying.

Second go-round performances begin at 10 am Saturday morning and 5 pm Saturday evening.
