Funeral services for 90-year old Mildred Keva Cochran will be Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 11:30 AM at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD, with Reverend Deacon Twyla Two Bulls officiating

Burial Services will be Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD

Visitation services will precede the funeral from 9:00 – 11:30 PM on Wed, June 3, 2020 also at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge.

Mildred K. Cochran was born on June 5, 1929 in Oelrichs, SD to Hobart Bissonette and Anne Mae (Frog)Bissonette. Mildred made her journey to the Spirit World on May 28, 2020 at her home near Oglala, SD.

Mildred spent her early days in Oglala riding horse and herding cattle. On November 2, 1953, she married Myron Cochran and went on to raise two children with 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and held them all close to her heart.

Mildred moved back to Oglala in 1993. She enjoyed being outside working with her hands and had a green thumb – anything she touched flourished.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart and Anne Mae Bissonette; spouse, Myron Cochran; four sisters, Ethel Jimenez, Bertha Yellow, Evelyn Morrisey, and Linda Mayer; two brothers, Marvin Bissonette and Jerry Bissonette; and two grandchildren, Andrew Cochran and Marina Cochran.

Mildred leaves behind her daughter, Vallie; three grandchildren, Royal, Amber, and Montana; sister, Betty; and three great grandchildren, Chaske Flores, Silas Flores, and Skyla Rice.

Pallbearers will be Royal Bissonette, Brandon Whiting, Doug Bissonette, Mike Jimenez, Ozzy Pacer, and Taylor Bald Eagle.

Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
