Funeral services for 91-year old Mildred Frohman of Hot Springs, SD, are Thurs, Feb 2, 2023, at 10:00 at Calvary Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
Committal services will follow at 2:00 at Beaver Valley Cemetery, about 12-miles northeast of Chadron, NE.
Visitation is Wed, Feb 1, from 5:00-7:00 at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.
Mildred Lillian (Denton) Frohman was born July 16th, 1931, to Glenn E Denton Sr and Georgia (Hunter) Denton on their farm near Rushville, NE. She went to be with her loving Heavenly Father on January 25, 2023. Â
Mildred attended Craven Creek School before graduating from Rushville High School in 1948. She then went to United Airlines school in Omaha, NE, and worked for the airline in Chicago, IL.
In 1953, Mildred married Merle A Frohman and they spent most of their life together in Hot Springs. She had a long career with the VA Medical Center in Hot Springs before eventually retiring.
Mildred was very active in her church and the local history of Hot Springs. She loved to plant her garden and flowers, and provided flower arrangements to her church every week.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Merle; her parents; brother Arthur Denton; son Merle Lynn Frohman and great-grandson Zane Harris.
She is survived by her daughter Merlene (Michael) Edwards of Omaha; sons Jerry (Connie) Thomas of Hemingford, NE; Mike (Vonda) of Billings, MT; David (Anna) of Vale. SD; and Greg (Belinda) of Hot Springs, 14 Grandchildren and 23 Great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by 3 brothers; 4 sisters; 2 sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home of Hot Springs for Mildred Frohman.
