Chadron Wrestlers See Gold At Mitchell Invite

The Chadron High boys and girls wrestling teams had banner days at the Mitchell Invite on Friday.

Rhett Cullers was one of four Chadron boys to claim gold as he earned his 100th win. Cullers took gold at 182-lbs.

Tayven Jenkins was a champ at 120-lbs, Braden Underwood captured the crown at 132-lbs and Quinn Bailey won the 152-lb bracket.

All six Chadron girls were in championship matches.

Taylee Williamson won at 110-lbs, Fia Rassmusen was atop the 135-lb bracket, Kenli Boeselager ran away with the 145-lb championship and Sarah LaBere won at 170-lbs.

Brooklyn Hoffman and Addie Diers were runners-up at the respective weight classes of 120 and 155-lbs.

The Chadron girls were team champions over Bridgeport 66-40 while the Chadron boys were runner-up to Mitchell 155-98.5.

The Chadron girls will head to districts in Bridgeport next Friday while the boys are at the Southeast Duals next Saturday.
