A one-night wake service starts at Friday, June 30, at 3:00 at the Rockyford School Old Gymnasium in Rockyford with evening services starting at 7:00.

Morgan Lee Lone Hill was born on June 24, 1985 in Pine Ridge, SD to Malcolm Louis Lone Hill Sr and Velma Susan (Elk Boy) Gomez. Morgan made his journey to the Spirit World on June 18, 2023 in Sacramento, CA.
Morgan was always helping his family, he was the middle child and made sure his younger siblings were taken care of. He loved to play outside and was a grandma’s boy. Morgan loved all his children with all of his heart.
Morgan was the protector of his family, watching over his brothers and sister bros. Morgan had a very spontaneous and energetic spirit. He experienced life from a young age moving from Porcupine, SD to living in Minneapolis, MN, Sioux Falls, SD and out in Sacramento, CA. He was a great storyteller and loved to share his smile and laughter that would make anyone’s day better. Morgan worked various contracting jobs. He was very good with his hands to building many things. Morgan also loved to ride horses.
Morgan had a quote he would always say, “I believe it”. So today, we live by his word and we “believe it” that he is at peace. Morgan will be greatly missed by all friends and relatives.
Morgan is survived by his mother Velma (Elk Boy) Gomez; step-father Antonio Gomez; father Malcolm Lone Hill Sr; daughters Christine Venzke Lone Hill of Sacramento, CA, Rosemarie Hernandez-Lone Hill of Porcupine, SD, and Alexis Graham Lone Hill of Lincoln, NE; sons Morgan Lone Hill Jr of Sacramento, CA, and Angel Lone Hill and Herman Lone Hill both of Sioux Falls, SD; siblings Monica Lone Hill, Malcolm Lone Hill Jr, Tiffany Traversie, Tammy Traversie, Anastacia Gomez, Jose Gomez, Marcus Pawnee Leggins, and Marquita Pawnee Leggins; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Morgan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Christine and Nelson Elk Boy; paternal grandparents Enoch Lone Hill and Roseanne Mousseau; uncles Herman Elk Boy and Richard Elk Boy; sister, Mariah Pawnee Leggins; brother Sunny Broken Rope; and aunties, Bernadine Elk Boy, Adaline Elk Boy, Anetha Elk Boy, Lorna Yellow Hawk, and Jennifer Rae Brewer.
Pallbearers will be Nelson Elk Boy, Richard Dean Elk Boy, BJ Elk Boy, Perry White Bull, Jay Shoulders, Jonathan Yellow Boy, Alden Brewer, and John George Waters.
Honorary pallbearers will be the UC Davis Medical Center, and All Family & Friends.
