Rushville Fun Days Are Here Again

     This is the busiest day of Rushville’s annual Fun Days Celebration, which has the theme this year of God Bless America.

     Up first at 10:00 is the parade with Grand Marshals Evelyn Crane, Ginger Moore, Sandr Loosvelt, and Peg Tausan.

     The Fun Days focus after the parade shifts to the city park, although the American Legion is hosting a Fried Chicken Lunch from 11-1:00

     Dozens of food and crafts vendors will be at the Park, where a special area has been set up as the Kids Corner with a variety of activities for the youngsters. 

     The Rushville-based Sandhills Institute has a Dear America display – red picnic tables set up for people to create art or write a special message on the table. Dear America will remain in the park both tomorrow and Monday. 

     The 25th annual Fun Days Car Show and Shine is from noon-3:00 while a Cornhole Tournament begins at 2:00 

     The Museum is holding an Open House from noon-till-4:00 with ice cream to help keep cool. It’s a chance to see the new Jerry’s Barn and exhibits that include a new buggy donated by the Dormans.

      There’s rodeo action at the arena on South Hwy 250: Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, Ribbon Roping, Old Persons Breakaway, breakaway calf roping, kids junior and senior barrel racing, pole bending and flag race plus PeeWee barrel racing and pole bending. 

    The 11th annual Coed Softball Tournament is tomorrow and Monday while the golf tournament is tomorrow starting at 10:00 at the Sand Ridge Golf Course.
