Sage Fire South Of Wall Brought Under Control

A fire that burned for a week in portions of the South Dakota badlands has finally been controlled.

The Sage Creek Fire that was 9-miles southwest of Wall was considered controlled on Wednesday afternoon.

It was initially reported at 150 acres last week, but was contained at 807 acres.

According to the Great Plains Fire Information region, just one fire has been reported over the past five days and none have been in the Black Hills region.
