      The Northwest Nebraska Trails Association holds its annual meeting tonight, outdoors at 5:30 at the Chadron Downtown Plaza and 2nd and Main.
      Association President Brittany Helmbrecht says everyone is invited, member or not, to come to the meeting and learn more about the group.Â
Helmbrecht is excited about tonight’s special speaker.- Chadron State College Professor Dr Curt Kinbacher, who biked coast-to-coast this summer on the Great American Rail-Trail, which includes the Cowboy Trail.
The Northwest Nebraska Trails Association has received a grant for a project to connect Chadron to the Cowboy Trail, which currently ends about 4 miles east of Chadron. Helmbrecht says the group hopes to see work start next year.
Since permanent seating at the Downtown Plaza is limited, Helmbrecht suggests bringing your own chair to tonight’s meeting.
