Funeral services for 27-year old Nyvelle Stone-Quick Bear are Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 10:00 at the Porcupine School in Porcupine, SD, with Native American Church Services provided by Kirk Full Bull and traditional Lakota services by Thurman Horse
Burial is at the Native American Church Cemetery in Porcupine.
A two-night wake service starts Friday, Sept 30, at 4:00 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine
Nyvelle Jeanette Stone-Quick Bear “Tasina Wakan Wi Cikala” was born on March 10, 1995 in Pine Ridge, SD to John Quick Bear, Sr. and Nyvee Stone. Nyvelle made her journey to the Spirit World on September 15, 2022 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Nyvelle is survived by her parents John (Terri Wind) Quick Bear Sr and Nyvee Stone; children Emmanuel Bear Killer III, Khole Stone-Quick Bear, Chanel Bear Killer, and Chavelle Bear Killer; siblings Johnnie Lin Quick Bear, Joshua Quick Bear, Jason Loafer Jr, Libbie Loafer, Jeremiah Quick Bear, Jenessa Quick Bear, Jesslyna Yellow Eagle, Kaydence White Crane, Jonaya Wind, John Quick Bear III, Jonovan Quick Bear, Truth Quick Bear, Team Quick Bear, and Treasure Wind; uncles Destry Bell, Jermaine Bell, Luke Bell, Urva Quick Bear Sr, and Joseph Horse; aunts Josephine Rowland, Raven Horse, grandparents Alberta Horse & James Stoneman Sr, Aloysius Bell, Jerome & Nancy Kills Small; and numerous close friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nyvelle was preceded in death by her brother John Quick Bear Jr; grandparents Adeline Elk Boy and Pedro Quick Bear; great-grandparents Martha Yellow Bull-Horse and Henry “Tex” Horse Sr; aunts Janeen Alvina Quick Bear and Debra Anne Bell; uncles Brandon Joseph Wounded Arrow, James Stoneman Jr, and Rick Jason Stoneman; cousin Takini Bell; and close friends Shilo Pourier and Flint Tall Jr.
