A Chadron man was cited for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and failure to yield the right-of-way in a 2-vehicle accident in Chadron about 10:15 Saturday night that sent one of the drivers to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Chadron police say 22-year old Gavin Woodson was driving a car owned by his employer, but didn’t have permission to be using it at that time.
Police say Woodson was southbound on Lake Street when he stopped at the stop sign on 3rd Street/Hwy 20, then pulled out in front of an eastbound car driven by a 71-year old man.
The cars collided on the driver’s side and the 71-year old man suffered unspecified injuries that led to his being taken to Chadron Community Hospital by ambulance.
