The South Dakota Highway Patrol says one teenager was killed and 2 others injured in a one-vehicle accident about 8:30 Saturday night on Interstate 90 near New Underwood.
The Patrol says a sedan was eastbound about 6 miles east of New Underwood when it left the roadway and rolled. None of the 3 occupants was wearing a seat belt and all were ejected.
A 15-year old female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene while the 18-year old male driver and a second 15-year old female were taken to a Rapid City hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation but charges are pending against the driver.
