      The Radiology Dept at Chadron Community Hospital is holding an Open House today from 5:00-6:30 for its new MRI building and MRI scanner.
      Chadron Chamber of Commerce Director Gabby Michna got a recent sneak peek and couldn’t be more impressed.
The modular MRI building replaces the metal building that housed the earlier MRI scanner.
Hospital head of Radiology Jody Dannar says the new scanner has a wider opening – informally the donut hole – that allows treating more patients and giving them a more comfortable experience.
Dannar says it means Chadron Community can now offer specialty MRI exams in the areas of Orthopedics, Neurology, Angiograms, and Abdomen and Body Work that in the past required going to facilities outside the immediate area.
