The professional cast is set for this summer’s Fort Robinson Post Playhouse season and new Producing Artistic Director Andy Meyers will fill the remaining roles with a local open audition tonight at Chadron State College.
Meyers is encouraging local actors of all ages interested in being in a Post Playhouse production this year to try out at 5:00 in the Black Box Theater on the second floor of Memorial Hall – adding that he’s excited to see the local talent.
Those auditioning may be asked to read from a script, but mostly just need to have a one-minute musical presentation ready. Meyers says he has no preconceived ideas matching actors and roles.

While he will be meeting some area residents at tonight’s auditions, Meyers will meet more tomorrow at the annual Post Playhouse Get Lucky Raffle fundraiser.
The $100 per ticket event with only 400 tickets printed begins at 5:30 tomorrow in the Buffalo Soldiers Barracks at Fort Robinson. A state park entry permit is required and can be purchased there..
