The Nebraska Public Service Commission and the Nebraska Broadband Office are coming to the Panhandle next week as part of a series of listening sessions to get input from rural residents on high-speed internet service in their area.
Four sessions will be offered in the Panhandle the first 3 days of the week, including one on Tuesday at 5:00 in the Chadron State College Student Center.
The others are Monday at 5:00 in Sidney, Tuesday at noon in Scottsbluff, and Wednesday at 5:00 at the Knight Museum in Alliance.
Each session will include an update on the current state of broadband expansion and affordability along with presentations on state and federal programs to bring or support broadband service. There will also be time for questions and answers.
