Quentin Joseph Standing Soldier Sr “Akicita Hanska” was born on October 11, 1979 in Martin, SD to Vern Standing Soldier, Sr. and Tina (Bettelyoun) Standing Soldier. Quentin made his journey to the Spirit World on May 29, 2021 in Wanblee, SD.
Quentin is survived by his parents, Vern Standing Soldier, Sr. and Tina Standing Soldier; children, Quenisha, Quentina, Quentino, Lakita, Joseph, Jolanna, Quentin Jr., Leland, Connie and Michael Standing Soldier; siblings, Michelle Standing Soldier & Family, Tessie Standing Soldier & Family, Vern Standing Soldier, Jr. & Family, Harlan Standing Soldier & Family, Derick Standing Soldier & Family, and Adam Standing Soldier & Family; grandson, Elyssio Standing Soldier; significant other, Leanne Romero; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Grandchildren.
Quentin was preceded in death by his twin brother, Clinton Standing Soldier; brother, Nathaniel Standing Soldier; daughter, Lacedz Standing Soldier; grandparents, Herman & Alma (Quiver) Standing Soldier-Pendleton, Rossie A. Bettelyoun and Eugenia Mary Witt-Bettelyoun; and great grandparents, Sophie Romero, Joe Quiver, Joe Standing Soldier, and Mary (Bad Wound) Standing Soldier.
