Funeral services for 88-year old Ramona (Has No Horse) Means are Friday, June 11, 2021 at 9:00 AM at the Phelps residence, North of Sharps Corner, SD, with Lay Minister Anthony Wounded Head officiating.
Burial follows at 12:30 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD
A one-night wake service starts at 4:30 PM, Thursday, June 10, at 4:00, also at the Phelps residence North of Sharps Corner.
Ramona (Has No Horse) Means was born on October 2, 1930 in Pine Ridge, SD to Morris Has No Horse and Ethel Horn Chips. Ramona made her journey to the Spirit World on June 2, 2021 at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, NE.
Ramona is survived by her sister, Althea (Wayne) Doodson; nephews, Jonathan Long Solider, Wayne Has No Horse, Julius Has No Horse, Arthur Has No Horse, Sidney Has No Horse, & Milton Around Him; nieces, Arlette Has No Horse, Deb Bad Milk, Julia Has No Horse, Lori Lindaman, Cheryl Morse, Ameris, and Clovia; and cousins, Joyce, Gene, and Beverly Last Horse.
Ramona was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Horn Chips; father, Morris Has No Horse; sisters, Charity Shot With Arrow and Rosalyn Has No Horse; and brothers, Morris Has No Horse, Jr., Dawson Has No Horse, Alvin Has No Horse, Arthur Has No Horse, Sr., Larry C. Morse, and Ron Hernandez.
Pallbearers will be Tim Has No Horse, Jr., Wally Lefthand, Art Has No Horse, Jr., Julius Has No Horse, Arlan Cuny, Dawson Has No Horse III, and Jarrett Lefthand.
Honorary pallbearers will be Theda Babby, Valerie Herberg, Randy Kinyon, Gordon Jehovah Witness Congregation, and All Friends & Relatives.
