The Crawford Lady Rams will advance to the second round of Panhandle Conference Tournament action after a 51-33 victory over Hemingford Monday.
The Rams leapt out to a 5-0 lead and ended the first quarter with a 16-11 advantage. A full court press and productive offense gave Crawford a 32-19 lead at half-time as they held the Bobcats to just eight points in the second quarter.
The pace of the game slowed somewhat after the break, with the Rams netting 11 and the Bobcats adding nine to the board for a 43-28 Rams’ lead. Crawford added six points in the first three minutes of the fourth and held the Bobcats scoreless during that time.
The final minutes saw Crawford add just two points, and Hemingford netting five.
