The NSAA has released their additional Class B state track qualifiers based on the top performances that weren’t automatic qualifiers at their respective district meets.

Six additional qualifiers are selected statewide in each individual event and four additional teams per relay race.

Garrett Reese picked up a pair of events as the top non-AQ in both the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles. Reese finished 4th in each event at the B6 district meet on Tuesday.

As expected Tatum Bailey is headed back to state in the 100m hurdles, clocking the fastest non-AQ time statewide, giving her three total events in Omaha along with the triple jump and high jump.

Carter Ryan snuck in as the last 800m runner, and the Chadron boy’s 4x100m relay team of Quinn Bailey, Xander Provance, Chayton Bynes, and Malachi Swallow also held down the final spot.

The boys 4x400m relay team featuring Bailey, Swallow, Reese, and Rhett Cullers also earned a trip to state with the 2nd best non-AQ time.

The Class B state track and field meet will get underway from Omaha Burke stadium on Wednesday, May 18th and close out on Thursday, May 19th.
