Funeral services for 93-year old Robert “Bob” Morsett are Friday May 5, 2023, at 10:00 at Morse Memorial Methodist Church in Rushville, NE.
Graveside services follow at 1:30 at the Martin Community Cemetery in Martin, SD.
A memorial has been established for Morse Memorial Methodist Church of Rushville and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 366, Gordon, NE 69343.

Robert Melvin Morsett was born June 14, 1929, in Bennett County, SD, to Frank and Pearl Morsett. He died April 20, 2023, at Gordon Countryside Care with family by his side.
Bob married the love of his life, Leora Belsky, on July 21, 1951, at Martin, SD, and they made their home in Martin, where their daughter Linda Lou was born. They later moved to Merriman, NE, where a son, Frankie Joe, joined the family.
When Bob was young, he helped his dad on the farm and worked at Fort Randall Dam before going to work for the State Road Department and worked for them for 34 years.
He later worked for SWANN, the Solid Waste Agency of Northwest Nebraska, and retired after more than 20 years there. In retirement, he helped Nebraska Game and Parks at the Bowring Ranch State Historical Park and Cottonwood Lake State Recreation Area.
Bob also helped around with odd jobs for friends and built his own home in Merriman.
Some of Bob’s hobbies include racing stock cars, bowling, playing cards, and making friends with people and family. He will be missed by all.
Bob survivors include his daughter Linda (Jim) Landreth of Rushville; son Frankie (Lisa) Morsett of Charlotte, NC; grandson Robbie (Sara Beth) of Glenrock, WY; granddaughter Jenny (Jason) of Scottsbluff, NE; grandsons David and Mathew; granddaughter Sara, great-grandchildren Davin, David, and Jorja; sisters-in-law Marlene, Judy (Bill); brother-in-law Tom; and nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Pearl; his wife Leora; her parents Joe and Jennie Belsky; brothers Jack, Bill, and Albert; brother-in-law Les; sisters Mildred and Ida; and sister-in-law Nancy.

Love you Uncle Bob, sorry I didn’t get to see you one last time.
Will miss you Bob. You were the last first cousin of the Morsett side to leave me. You enjoy your family in heaven and someday I will see you again.
