Robert Pedro Crow Dog was born on April 11, 1973 in Wounded Knee, SD to Leonard Crow Dog, Sr. and Mary Ellen (Moore) Crow Dog. Robert made his journey to the Spirit World on February 24, 2022 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Robert is survived by his spouse, Valda Crow Dog of Wadsworth, NV; siblings, Henry Crow Dog of Rosebud, SD, Leonard Crow Dog, Jr. of Oakland, CA, Jennifer Crow Dog of Chicago, IL, Summer Rose Olguin of Watertown, SD, and Rudy Olguin of Huron, SD; daughters, Vanessa Crow Dog of Minneapolis, MN, Lisa Crow Dog of Aberdeen, SD, Marcella Crow Dog of Chicago, IL, and Inez St. John of Morton, MN; son, Skyler Erickson of Antelope, SD; aunts, Kathleen Moore and Barbara Moore both of He Dog, SD; and uncle, Michael Smith, Sr. of He Dog, SD.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard, Sr. and Mary Ellen (Moore) Crow Dog; siblings, Quannah Crow Dog and Ina Crow Dog; grandparents, Emily Brave Bird, William Moore, and Henry and Gertrude Crow Dog; aunts, Sandra Moore, Christine Crow Dog, and Diane Crow Dog; and uncle, Robert Joe Moore.
Pallbearers will be Leonard A. Crow Dog, Jr., Henry Onwai Crow Dog, Rudy Olguin, Sol Contreras, Justin Dorian, Verdell “Bubby” Roan Eagle, Maurice Red Cloud, and Ahmbaska Camp.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Past, Present, & Future AIM, All Sundancers, All Native American Church Members, and all friends & relatives.
