Funeral services for 64-year old Robert Flying Hawk are Thurs, August 31, 2023 at 11:00 at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD.
Cremation to follow services with burial at a later date.
Viewing precedes and follows the funeral from 10:00-to-noon at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge.
Robert Warfield Flying Hawk “Tatanka Eyuha Owa Uyunka Pi” (Buffalo Who Looks Over Everything) was born on December 18, 1958, in Pine Ridge, SD to Lavern Flying Hawk and Prudy Lou (Yankton) Flying Hawk. Robert made his journey to the Spirit World on August 19, 2023 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Robert is survived by his children Thomas Spotted Bear, Lowell Bordeaux, Anna Richardson, and Korona Black Elk; father Lavern Flying Hawk; wife Lisa Lincoln-Flying Hawk; siblings, Lester Flying Hawk, Anthony Flying Hawk, Leah Flying Hawk, and Jennifer Yankton; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother Prudy Lou Flying Hawk; sister Sandra Flying Hawk; grandparents David and Cecelia Flying Hawk; and great-grandparents Phillip “Felix” Flying Hawk, Clara Flying Hawk, Charles Kills Enemy and Ross Holy Rope.Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
