Sally Ann Broken Rope-O’Rourke was born on this beautiful day of October 14, 1953 in Hot Springs, SD to her loving parents Lorenzo “Turk” Broken Rope and Naomi Two Lance-Broken Rope. Sally made her journey to the Spirit World on November 21, 2024 at her home in Kyle, SD
Sally attended the Holy Rosary Mission Boarding School in Pine Ridge, SD throughout all of her school years up until she graduated in 1972. Sally was a daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Sally is survived by her spouse, Henry George O’Rourke, Jr. of Kyle, SD; children, Sunny Lynn, Georgia Lynn, Robert, Samuel, Lynette, Lynelle, and Sara O’Rourke; siblings, Mike Adams of Denver, CO, Rose Marie (Dusty) Shangreaux of Rapid City, SD, and Gayla Adams of Rapid City, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sally was preceded in death by her daughter, L’Tanya Harvey-Starr; son, Hank O’Rourke III; sisters, Angelita Loud Hawk, Betty Jane Broken Rope; parents, Lorenzo “Turk” & Naomi (Two Lance) Broken Rope; great grandparents, Homer & Sally (Badger) Broken Rope; and Thomas & Julia (Yellow Hawk) Two Lance; nieces, Anna Adams and Baby Margaret Shangreaux; grandchildren, Cody & Cole Two Bulls, Andre Gibbons-Starr, Tayson O’Rourke, Baby Anna Maria Brewer, Brianna Rae & Breonna Jody Brings Him Back, and Louie Ferguson; and in-laws, Hank & Alice O’Rourke.
Pallbearers will be Milo Yellow Hair, Kelly Looking Horse, Ambrosio Mendoza, Lorenzo Broken Rope, Aren Star Comes Out, and Carson O’Rourke.

Funeral Services: 10:00 AM, Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Kyle, SD.
