Viewing will precede the services from 10:00 to Noon at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge.
Samuel Eugene Lewis Jr was born on March 13, 1956 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Samuel Eugene Lewis Sr and Georgia Ann (Riley) Lewis. Samuel Jr made his journey to the Spirit World on January 21, 2022, at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Samuel Jr is survived by his sons Shaun (Sheila) McMahon of MD, Jerome Lewis of Warm Springs, OR, TyRome Lewis of ME, and Emmanuel Lewis of NM; siblings, Percy Lewis of OK, Steve Lewis of Wyadotte, OK, Jess Lewis of OK, and Manuel Lewis Sr of Pine Ridge, SD; grandchildren, Jordan McMahon, Justin McMahon, Brandon (Sadie) Briseno, Brianna Briseno, Joshua Archuleta, Danika Lewis, Diondra Lewis, Joyce Lynn Archuleta, Madison Cottier, Tyler Rowland Jr, Adrian & Kenyon Rowland, Deon, Julian, Dillon, & Zoey Lewis, Jemaia, Jeyton Goings; 2 great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews, Rebeca (Wes) Cottier, Gaylynn (Tyler) Rowland, Jess Goings, Lawrence Lewis, Manuel Lewis Jr, and Quintina Iron Bull.
Samuel Jr was preceded in death by his mother Georgia Riley; father Sam Lewis Sr; aunt Mary Simmers; and uncle Curtis Simmers.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Briseno, Jr., Tyler Rowland, Sr., Wesley Cottier, Sr., Lawrence Lewis, Deon Lewis, Tyler Rowland, Jr., Jess Goings, and Brianna Briseno.
Honorary pallbearers will be the OST Veterans Home in Pine Ridge, SD, VA State Home in Hot Springs, SD, Joyce Goings, Sally Goings, Melody “Midge” Talbot & Family, Anna Simmers & Family, Lewis, Riley, & Simmers Family of Oklahoma, and all friends & relatives.
