Funeral services for 41-year old Sherry Marie Watters are Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 3:00 at the Watters residence, 1200 Redwood Street (New Crazy Horse) in Pine Ridge, SD, with Mr Charles McGaa officiating.
Burial is at the Holy Rosary Mission Catholic Cemetery in Missions Flat, SD.
A one-night wake service starts Tuesday, July 13, at 3:00 PM, also at the Watters residence in Pine Ridge.
Sherry Marie Watters was born on August 15, 1979 in Pine Ridge to William ‘Bill’ Watters and Josephine (Freeman) Watters. Sherry made her journey to the Spirit World on July 5, 2021 in Sioux Falls, SD.
Sherry is survived by her mother, Josephine (Freeman) Watters; sons, Sylas Janis and Sydney Janis; siblings, Jennifer Watters, Andrew Watters, Danae Watters, Danielle Dawn Whirlwind Horse, Anthony Toj Whirlwind Horse, Jr., Dustin Whirlwind Horse, Shawnna Brewer, and Stan Brewer; grandchildren, Brendan Janis and Kole T. Janis, Jr.; and special uncle, Paul (Bapa) Trueblood.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father, William ‘Bill’ Watters; son, Kole Tristan Janis; grandmother, Lenora Watters; and grandfathers, Jack Watters and George Freeman.
Pallbearers will be Merna Center, Lauren Big Crow, Daphne Janis, Ruby White Calf, Jeremie Fraser, Autumn Eagle Bull, Andrew Watters, Paul (Bapa) Trueblood, Stephen King, and Danae Watters.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
