Stouffer Named Softball Summit Award Winner

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced today that Micah Stouffer, a senior from Rushville, has been named the 2023 RMAC Softball Summit Award Winner.

Stouffer is the fourth CSC softball player to win the award, following in the footsteps of Alyssa Geist in 2018 and Breeze Phillips in 2014 and 2016.

This award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average, participating at the final’s sites for each of the RMAC Championships.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above, who participated in their sport for at least two years with their school. They must also be an active member of the team, traveling and competing at the championship.

Stouffer has a 4.0 GPA in Criminal Justice – Legal Studies and is graduating this Saturday.

The Nebraska native has been a 3x RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll recipient and received the 2023 CSC Softball Heart of a Champion Award this season.

During the 2021 season, Stouffer started in 26 games, recording 10 runs 19 hits, 3 homeruns and 12 RBIs. She led Chadron State during the 2021 season with 125 putouts and had a fielding percentage of .977.
