Tobin Meyer will have one more week wearing the Cardinal red as the senior has qualified for the Class C Boys State Golf Tournament. Meyer shot a 77 which placed him in third, easily qualifying him for the state tournament as an individual.
The Class C-5 District Tournament was at Crandall Creek Wednesday and the 48 hour delay did not hurt Meyer as he was the lone qualifier for Chadron. Carson Long was next on the leaderboard for the Cardinals as he shot an 88, missing the cut for the state tournament by seven shots. Mason Frye shot a 91, Brayden Linegar posted a 98 and Tyson Pourier with a 121.
As a team the Cardinals shot a 354 which placed them in eighth, just 20 shots off the third place team of Gothenburg.
Meyer will head off to Grand Island for the Class C State Tournament at Indianhead Golf Club with the first round set for Wednesday, May 27th and the second round on Thursday, May 28th.
