Trina Rae High Horse “Tasina Waste Win” (Her Good Shawl Woman) was born on August 19, 1975 in Pine Ridge to Jerome Sr and Theresa (Charging Crow) High Horse. Trina made her journey to the Spirit World on January 12, 2023, at the Texas Health Resource Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX.

Filtered water, purple and red nail polish. They may be random words to a lot of people, but to those who knew Trina Rae High Horse understand.

Her attention to detail, her beauty and her huge heart were what defined my mother. She always needed her filtered water, something purple and her nails painted with red nail polish.

Mom went out of her way to show others love with numerous acts of service. That was the beauty about my mother that was so captivating by everyone who met her.

Her huge heart made it impossible for her not to go out of her way for those she loved.  She showed up to every event and cheered the loudest, with popcorn in one hand and a Diet Coke in the other.

My mother was an extraordinary woman who played many roles throughout her life. Her favorite was being a grandmother to her baby girl Gianna Rose High Horse Watts. Her world revolved around making sure her Gigi baby had everything she needed and of course, what she wanted.

God calling this gorgeous angel home is breaking many hearts here on earth, but this is not it.  This is not goodbye, but simply a “see you later” –  one of the hardest “see you laters” this family has done.

As her only child, who has seen how compassionate and giving she was, this is very difficult to process. This is not something I thought would come so soon, because my mother was so excited to watch her baby girl Gianna grow up.

Who she was as a daughter, a friend, an aunt, a niece, a mother and especially as a grandmother was truly extraordinary. The lengths she would go to take care of others was amazing to witness. And as difficult as this is to accept, I am truly grateful for the time I had with my gorgeous mother.
