“Unfold the Universe” Art Event Opening At Chadron Arts Center

Loading

“Unfold the Universe,” a Chadron Community Art Event, begins its 2-day run Saturday at the Chadron Arts Center – part of Space Month at the Chadron Public Library, celebrating last month’s launch of the James Webb Space Telescope.

“Unfold the Universe” gave everyone who wanted to enter a piece a chance to show art inspired by what the Webb telescope might reveal in the vast reaches of space.

Library Director Rossella Tesch says any and all types of art were encouraged including painting, sculpture, song, poem, drawing, fiber art, a painted model, 3-D print, or even a dance.

Tesch says Unfold the Universe is a true community art show with participants of all ages showing their creativity. There are no entry fees, no judges, and no prizes – just community building.

Hours at the Chadron Arts Center are 10-4 Saturday and 1-4 Sunday. Admission is free.
