The Sioux County Warriors split contests at Minatare Friday ahead of post-season appearances scheduled for this week.
The Warriors rolled to a 65-0 win on the gridiron to secure a spot in the first round of six-man football playoffs. Sioux County will face undefeated Pawnee City Friday. The Warriors finished the regular season 5-3 after the win in Minatare.
On the volleyball court, the Warriors fell to 10-10 after a five-set loss to Minatare. Sioux County lost the opening two sets in closely contested 22-25, 23-25 contests and then won the next two 25-15, 25-15 to force the fifth set. The final set went to Minatare 9-15.
The Lady Warriors will take on Cody-Kilgore Monday in Hay Springs in sub-district action. If they win, they will return to Hay Springs Tuesday to play in the sub-district finals for a shot at District Finals and state.
