Wildfire Contained At 90 Acres In Pennington County

It took fire crews around three hours on Wednesday afternoon to control the Box Elder Creek Fire, burning 20 miles southeast of Box Elder or 20 miles west of Wall in Pennington County.

The initial report of the wildfire was received by authorities just before 2:00 pm Wednesday and was contained to just over 90-acres by 3:00 pm.

Total control of the fire was declared by 5:00 pm.

Cause of the fire was not listed in the incident report.
