Visitation for 91-year old Alice Serres of Chadron, NE, is this Wed, Dec 29, 2021 from 1-7:00 at the Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron – a week before her funeral.
Those services are Wed, Jan 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM at The First Congregational Church in Chadron with Dr Russ Seger officiating.
Burial will be held at Bodarc Cemetery, north of Harrison, NE.

Alice Wanita Serres was born on Dec 30, 1929, in Benedict, NE, to Arthur Raymond and Mary Alice (Doak) Glass. She passed away on Dec 21, 2021 at Crestview Care Center in Chadron.
Alice grew up and received her early education around Hemingford, NE, and graduated from Hemingford High School in 1948. She received her Teaching Certificate from Chadron State College and went on to teach at rural schools in western Nebraska.
Alice married Ernest Paul Serres on August 10, 1950, at Hemingford. The couple had 6 children, 4 sons and 2 daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Lloyd Arnold Serres, sister Frances Delores Glass, Grace Nellie Heinz, brother Bert Arthur Glass, grandson Joseph Dean Gibbons, and granddaughter Tommi Ann Serres
Her survivors include her sons, Rodney Wayne (Annette) Serres of Big Fork, MT; Thomas Allen Serres of Chadron, Daniel Lee (Therese) Serres of Clackamas, OR; daughters Nancy Charlene Knaub of Chadron, Kathy Lanell (Jerry) Gibbons of Mitchell, NE; sister Vera Jean (Jerry) Larson of Rapid City, SD, stepbrother Lloyd Heine of Gering; 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements for Alice Serres.
