Class C And D State Track Meets Begin Today In Omaha

The Nebraska High School State Track Meets in Classes C and D begin today and wrap up tomorrow in Omaha.

Today, Gordon-Rushville has McKinley Grover in the girls discus, while for the boys, Greg Johns has the finals of the 3200 with prelims for Aydon McDonald in both hurdles and Jace Freeseman in the 200 and 400. 

Tomorrow, the Lady Mustangs have Grover in her 2nd event, the shot put, and Tyrah American Horse in the 1600. Greg Johns runs again tomorrow, but in the 1600 while Franklin Johns has the 800. The boys 4×400 relay team of Freeseman, McDonald, Franklin Johns, and Austin Child run in the final event of the meet.  

In Class D, Hay Springs has 6 athletes in 8 events. Today for the boys, Gage Mintken has the TJ, Parker Wellnitz runs the 3200, and Dylan Raymer has prelims in both hurdles while Gabby Twarling has prelims in the girls 400.

Tomorrow, Mintken goes in the LJ while Wes Jacobs and Mia Skinner are in their respective 800s.

Crawford has 7 athletes in 8 events with finals today for the girls 4×800 relay team of Kiera Brennan, Kember Mittan, Keslyn Vogel, and Halee Wasserburger with prelims for Kylah Vogel in the girls 300 hurdles and 400 dash. 

Tomorrow, Ty Brady runs in the 800 and 1600, Carter Rudloff throws the discus, and Kiera Brennan has the girls 800.
