Funeral services for 58-year old Delvin Coomes are Tues, May 2, 2023 at 10:00 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Ms Darla Black

Burial follows at 2:00 at the Fairview Cemetery in Rushville, NE

A one-night wake service starts Monday, May 1, at 3:00 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge with evening services at 7:00

Delvin Dale Coomes was born on January 11, 1965 in Rushville to Albert Coomes and Melody (Goings) Talbot.  Delvin made his journey to the Spirit World on April 26, 2023 at the Pine Ridge IHS Hospital in Pine Ridge.

Delvin is survived by his mother, Melody R (Goings) Talbot; significant other Jackie Black Bear; sons Tristan T Coomes and Rowland C Coomes; siblings Lisa Coomes, Sheri K Coomes, Theodore R Coomes Sr, Shauna (Ronald Blacksmith) Blacksmith-Coomes, Michelle (Shane Stanton) Talbot, and Ronda (Caleb Belile) Talbot; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Delvin was preceded in death by his father Albert K Coomes; grandparents Kelly & Esther Coomes, Rebecca Cuny, and Roland “Scope” Goings; and step-father Ronald Talbot Sr.

Pallbearers will be John Gallego, Paul Albert, Daniel Ramos, John J Hussman, Burl Richards, Shane Stanton, Ron Blacksmith, and Percy White Plume.
