Donovan Ray White Face Sr was born on February 7, 1969 in Pine Ridge, SD to Richard White Face and Josephine Elk Boy. Donovan made his journey to the Spirit World on May 21, 2022 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Donovan is survived by his children, Thomas White Face, Donovan White Face Jr, and Esther White Face; brother, Dennis White Face; sister, Lorrain Rosebud White Face; aunts, Esther White Face, Linda White Face, and Blanche White Face; uncles, Chauncey White Face, David Lee White Face, Elmer White Face, and Manuel White Face; and grandchildren, Andeus White Face, El’mita White Face, Messiah Leaf, Nevaeh White Face, Sariah Hernandez, and Amiyah Hernandez.
Donovan was preceded in death by his parents, Richard “Shook” White Face and Josephine Elk Boy; sisters, Samantha White Face and Fawn White Face; grandparents, Esther White Face and Reno White Face; and uncles, Benjamin “Ben Joe” White Face and Seth “BB” White Face.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Waters, Pony Pettibone, Austin Pettibone, Richard Horse, Daniel Lakota, and Greg White Face.
