Gordon-Rushville Boys Win WTC Track Title


The Gordon-Rushville boys captured the team title at Tuesday’s Western Trails Conference meet in Morrill. The Mustangs won seven events in holding off Mitchell 138-124.

Bayard won the girls championship over Morrill 136-86.

Jace Freeseman brought home three gold medals, winning the 400m and 800m and being a part of the 1st place 4x100m relay team. Aydon McDonald swept the 110m and 300m hurdles races and Ellis Livingston was tops in the 200m.

The Gordon-Rushville 4x800m was the other 1st place finisher.

The Gordon-Rushville girls found their own success as Hayley Johnson claimed the 800m and Tyrah American Horse breezed in the 1600m.

McKinley Grover topped the field in the shot put and the Lady Mustangs 4x800m relay won easily.
