The 7-team Legion Seniors C-7 Area tournament began yesterday in Valentine and the Gordon-Rushville Sheridan County Regulators edged the hosts 4-3.
In the 2 other games, Imperial shut out Bridgeport 3-0 while PWG, a combined team representing Palmer, Wolbach and Greeley, outslugged Hershland from Hershey and Sutherland 12-8
Sheridan County plays top-seeded Atkinson, who had a bye yesterday, at 4:00 in one Winners Bracket game, with Imperial and PWG meeting in the nightcap at 7.00.
       Bridgeport and Hershland open the day’s action with an elimination game at 1:00. Valentine has a bye for the first elimination round and doesn’t play until tomorrow when they face the PWC-Imperial loser.
Sheridan County will host the Class C Senior State Tournament starting next week, giving the Regulators an automatic berth.
