Grover Takes 7th In Discus, McDonald Qualifies In 300 IH At Class C State Meet


    Gordon-Rushville’s McKinley Grover placed 7th in the girls discus and Aydon McDonald grabbed the last spot in the finals of the boys 300 intermediate hurdles in Day Q action at the Class C state track meet in Omaha, 

    The rest of the day didn’t go so well for the Mustangs. McDonald was 12th in the 110 high hurdles prelims and Jace Freeseman failed to advance in the 200, where he was 13th after missing the finals in the 400 by 1 spot and 3-100ths of a second.

    Today, Grover throws the shot put, Tyrah American Horse runs the 1600 as does Greg Johns, who passed on the 3200 yesterday. Franklin Johns has the 800 and joins Freeseman, McDonald, and Austin Child in the 4×400 relay.
