Hay Springs Boys, Crawford Girls Shine At Panhandle Conference Meet

Hay Springs’s Gage Mintken cleaned up at Friday’s Panhandle Conference meet with four gold medals. Minkten won the 100m (11.79), 200m (24.67), Long Jump (19’ 8.5”) and Triple Jump (38’ 11.5”).

Hawks Dylan Raymer and Wes Jacobs were double winners. Raymer took the 110m hurdles (16.46) and 300m hurdles (44.12) and Jacobs won the 800m (2:09.87) and 1600m (4:59.82). Crawford’s Ty Brady took the 400m with a time of 53.77 and was a member of the winning 4x800m relay team (9:13.83) with Abi Munoz-Salazer, Payton Horan and Taylor Homan.

The Crawford girls swept the 4x400m 4:52.64) and 4x800m (11:38.16) relay’s with the teams consisting of Kylah and Keslyn Vogel, Kiera Brennan, Kylere Gortsema and Haylee Wasserberger. Kylah Vogel also won the 300m hurdles with a time of 50.45 and the 400m in a time of 1:03.86.

Brennan was also a winner in the 800m (2:38.72).
