Ira Anthony Caine Makes Him First Jr “T’okiyapi”was born on November 14, 1963 in Eagle Butte, SD to Ira A. C. Makes Him First Sr and Victoria Elizabeth (Dearly) Makes Him First. Ira Jr made his journey to the Spirit World on September 13, 2021, in San Rafael, CA.
Ira Jr is survived by his children, Bianca Tashina Cook and Jasmine Makes Him First, both of New Town, ND, Whitney Spears and Ira Makes Him First III, both of Red Lake, MN, Shania Makes Him First, Diana Makes Him First and Cyrus Makes Him First, all of Pine Ridge, SD; brothers, William Don Makes Him First, Sr. and Phillip Yellow Hawk; sister, Maria Makes Him First; uncle, Jerry (Lori Ann) Dearly of St. Paul, MN; aunts, Helmina Makes Him First and Catherine Looking Elk; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ira Jr was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Makes Him First, Sr. and Victoria (Dearly) Makes Him First); son, Jasper Makes Him First and his mother, Joni Halsey; cousin, Nicole Dearly and Wilbur Makes Him First; uncles, Carl Makes Him First and Charles Running Hawk, Jr.; grandmothers, Lucille T. Dearly, and Lucy Dearly; grandfather, Jimpson Dearly; granddaughter, Baylee Makes Him First; and hunka brother, Tim White Eyes.
