It’s A Garden Party On Sunday At The Dawes County Historical Museum

The Dawes County Historical Museum holds its annual Garden Party Sunday at 2:00 at the Museum just off Hwy 385 about 4-miles south of Chadron.

This year’s theme is “Bloom where you are planted.”

Discover Northwest Nebraska executive director Kerri Rempp says the Garden Party is always an enjoyable afternoon with music, refreshments, and a program in addition to a chance to visit the museum’s displays.

Tomorrow’s Garden Party begins with a ribbon-cutting for the Museum’s newest building on the west side that’s the home of the large doll collection donated by the late Clara Erixson and the telephone hardware collection of Carl Larsen.

Erixson and her husband Dick were also strong financial supporters of the Dawes County Historical Museum, as was Gene Cooley, and the Museum is recognizing them and Larsen as part of the ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
