Lynn Clinton Reber

Lynn Clinton Reber was born in Naper, NE, on March 14, 1952, to Clint and Ioan Reber and passed away peacefully at home in Knoxville, Tenn., on April 18, 2024. 

After high school, Lynn attended Chadron State College in Chadron, NE, on a baseball scholarship. A pitcher, he was invited while still in college to play Triple A ball for the Chicago White Sox minor league team, but chose to remain in college.

Lynn graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree and went on to enjoy a career as a high school English teacher and coach. He also continued his education, earning a Master’s in Speech Communication from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. 

Lynn always had a passion for books and his love of literature led to his field of study and to a life-long love of reading. Lynn’s biggest joys were spending time with his grandchildren and attending Chicago Cubs baseball games with his son. 

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Carla and Paula. 

He is survived by his son Lee and spouse Kaila; grandsons Camden and Cru; granddaughter Nora; and three nephews and two nieces and their children.
